Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from BotOrders at any time.

We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains what data we may hold, how to request deletion, and what happens after your request is processed.

Customers You can delete your account directly from the chatbot — go to My Account → Delete Account. See instructions ↓     Shop Owners You can disconnect your integration and request full data deletion by email. See instructions ↓


What Data We May Hold About You

Name & Contact Information Your name, phone number, and email address required for order processing and communication.
Delivery Address & Shared Location Delivery address, notes, delivery instructions, and GPS location if you voluntarily shared it for delivery purposes.
Messaging Identifiers Facebook or Instagram PSID, WhatsApp phone number, messaging identifiers, language/locale preferences, and chatbot interaction events.
Order Information Products ordered, quantities, prices, order status, and related order details.
Basic Chatbot Interaction Events Buttons, menus, quick replies, and other interaction events used to operate and improve the chatbot flow.

How to Request Deletion

You have two options to request account deletion. The chatbot method is fastest — your deletion is scheduled immediately with a 30-day grace period.

Customers Method 1: Delete Account Directly in the Chatbot (Recommended)

The fastest way to request deletion. Your account is marked for deletion immediately, with a 30-day grace period to reactivate if you change your mind.

Open the chatbot and go to My Account

Message the shop's BotOrders bot and select 👤 My Account from the main menu.

Tap "Delete Account"

Select the 🗑 Delete Account option from the menu.

Confirm your deletion request

Review the information about what will be deleted and confirm. Your account is now scheduled for permanent deletion in 30 days.

During this time:

  • You cannot place new orders or access your account
  • You can tap 🔄 Reactivate Account anytime to cancel the deletion request
  • Your order history is retained for accounting and delivery tracking

Automatic deletion after 30 days

Your account, all saved addresses, and personal data (name, phone, email, delivery addresses) are permanently deleted.

What is retained: Your order history may be retained where required for legal, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.


Customers Method 2: Email Request (For Additional Support)

If you need additional support or cannot access the chatbot, you can submit a manual deletion request by email.

Include identifying information

To help us locate your account, include any relevant details such as your phone number, email address, order number, the shop/business name, and the platform you used (Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or WhatsApp).

We verify and process your request

We may contact you to verify the request. Verified deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days. Once verified, we will remove or anonymize applicable personal data unless retention is legally required.

Confirmation email

You will receive a confirmation email when your data has been deleted or anonymized. If any data must be retained for legal reasons, we will explain this in the same email.


Shop OwnersRemoving Access or Disconnecting Integrations

Shop Owners can remove access or disconnect their BotOrders integrations at any time through the following methods.

Shop Owners: Remove app access from Meta settings

If you connected BotOrders through Facebook or Instagram permissions, you may remove app access from your Meta account settings by going to Facebook → Menu → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, then removing BotOrders if it appears.

Shop Owners: Disconnect integrations from the admin panel

Shop Owners using BotOrders may disconnect the service or connected Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp integrations at any time through their BotOrders admin panel.

BotOrders bot stops immediately

Once disconnected, the BotOrders bot will stop responding immediately on all connected platforms (Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct, and WhatsApp). No further messages will be processed or orders accepted through the bot.

Request deletion of existing data

Removing access or disconnecting an integration stops future access where applicable. To delete all existing data processed through BotOrders, send a deletion request to botsupport@webandart.com.

Verified deletion requests are processed within a 30-day grace period. The following data will be permanently deleted:

  • Shop Owner account — profile, settings, and all configuration data
  • All orders — order history, payment records, and delivery details
  • All customer accounts — names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, and messaging identifiers of all customers who interacted with the shop


Data We May Need to Retain

In limited cases, we may need to retain certain data despite a deletion request:

When retention is required, we will retain only the minimum necessary data for the required period and delete or anonymize it when retention is no longer needed.


What You'll Receive After Deletion

Customers Chatbot deletion: You will receive an in-chat confirmation immediately after your request, showing the exact deletion date. No further action is needed. After the 30-day grace period your account and all saved addresses are permanently deleted.


Both Email request: After processing your request, we will send a confirmation email stating what data has been deleted. If any data must be retained for legal reasons, we will explain this in the same email.
